Streams Studio is an integrated development environment (IDE) to create, edit, visualize, test, debug, and run SPL applications. This package contains the files needed to run Streams Studio on either the Linux system where you installed Streams or on a local Linux or Microsoft Windows system that remotely accesses the Linux system where Streams is installed.

As a root user or the Streams installation owner:

1. Download the Streams Studio package here to the Linux system where Streams is installed.
2. Extract the contents of the Streams Studio package to the following location:
   streams-installation-root-directory/7.1.0.0/etc
   This will create the eclipse, rseserver, and StreamsStudio subdirectories.
3. Change the ownership of the three new directories and their contents to the Streams installation owner and group.
4. For further information on how to run Streams Studio with Streams 7.1.0:
   a. Download the current Streams Installation and Configuration Guide.
   b. To update Streams Studio Version 4.3.x, use the procedure in section:
   “5.2.3 Migration guidelines for Streams Version 7.1.0”
   c. To perform a new Streams Studio installation, use the procedure in section:
   “4.0 Installing Streams Studio”
